Allemanders Square Dance Club
American Square Dancing in Warrington
American Square Dancing?
What on earth's that?
It's a group of 8 dancers, 2 on each side forming a square like this:
The instructions for each dance are given by a caller, so you don’t need to remember a whole dance.
You learn just a few moves at a time and add them to your
range. But don’t panic: the first two are “Circle left” and “Circle right” so you can start straight away!
It's a great opportunity to meet new people and make new friends.
We are a small friendly group who will always make you welcome.
All you need is two feet (yes, even two left ones will do!), two
arms, two ears and a smile! The caller and the other 7 dancers in your square will all
help to keep you dancing.
We dance at Alford Social Club, Manchester Road, Warrington WA1 4NJ Thursday evenings from 7.30 to 10.00 pm.
Contact Janet 07729 840471 or Chris 07831 466377 if you want to know more.
